As the JD Cymru North season nears to a close, Caersws arrive at Bangor City Stadium this weekend as Bangor 1876 face their penultimate opponent.

A city filled with footballing history; we have seen our fair share of historic fixtures, from European nights, cup final glory and more recently promotion triumphs.

However, as we all know, football can also be a game of trial and tribulations. With the highs, come the lows. Despite this, Bangor has always had a crowd behind it – whether down at Farrar Road, here at Bangor City Stadium or on the road.

This weekend, Bangor 1876 face Caersws as they battle to remain in the JD Cymru North. Despite finding themselves in a Cup Final at the end of the month, Michael Johnston’s men face the stark possibility of relegation.

Johnston and his side will be determined this weekend to ensure the season ends on a high note, securing their place in the second tier – with this weekend’s home game playing a crucial part of the story.

Caersws arrive at the stadium off the back of a loss to Gresford, however, had previously put together a positive run – securing two wins, back to back, and a draw. With 1876's last league win coming back in February, a 4-2 victory over Prestatyn – they will need to dig deep to secure a result.

Nonetheless, manager Michael Johnston has expressed his belief in his side, who trained at Bangor City Stadium ahead of their crunch match. (You can watch his full interview after the session here: https://fb.watch/yKE0mk5o6r/)

It can’t be overlooked that this season hasn’t gone to plan, however that is part of the game we love so dear. That being said, “Johno” and his side need the full support of fans this weekend, to ensure we head into next season in the JD Cymru North and ready to focus on a new season in partnership with Bangor City Stadium.

Since there forming, Bangor 1876 have been renowned for their following across North Wales, whether it be at home or away – with fans often being the 12th man, almost sucking the ball into the net from behind the opponent’s goal.

Fans have flocked in their hundreds, and often thousands, to watch football in Bangor. Supporting cup final victories, historic European nights and many other special moments – and Saturday’s fixture is no different. Bangor 1876, Michael Johnston and Sean Eardley’s side need the support of every Bangor fan behind them this weekend, to see them over the line.

With entry reduced to £2 and our £3 Matchday Pint (Carling and Worthington’s) offer available in the Farrar Suite, there is no better place to be spending your Saturday afternoon than at Bangor City Stadium, and cheering on Bangor 1876.

Blue Army, we’ll see you on Saturday.
